    Here is the most common method.

    1. Import your movies into iTunes on your PC.
    2. Plug your iPad into your PC.
    3. Select the iPad on the left-hand column then go to the Movie tab and check the Sync Movie box and select the movies you want to sync.
    4. Hit the sync
    5. On the iPad, open the Video app and play your movies!

    I don’t think you should have any problem with that. iOS5.1 does support 1080p, and .mov and .m4v are the native formats.

    I have some .mov which is apple quick time player compatible HD 1080P Videos, so I guess I dont need to worry converting them to a quick time player compatible format. Can I just upload it in the New iPad from iTunes and will it start playing ? or will I need to crop to fit to play it in to the new iPad ?

    There is a way to convert them to 720p HD video from qutiikcme or handbrake.. i never tried it as i dont have a newer mac to test.
