Rip DVD for playback on Amazon Kindle Fire


Compared with iPad, Amazon Kindle Fire seems smaller and more comfortable to be taken with you outside. Many people prefer the Amazon Kindle Fire mainly because that 7.5 inch size is enough for them to enjoy DVD movies on Kindle Fire. And meanwhile, it is convenient for them to carry for travelling or just go outside for a picnic.


Unfortunately, Amazon Kindle Fire isn't equipped DVD-ROM or DVD player, so you cannot insert DVD disc to it for playing. Even your movies is DVD folders in computer, cause Kindle Fire don't supports MP4, WMV, DivX, Xvid video format, you may also play DVD ISO files badly. Before we start to convert DVD to Kindle Fire, let's check what Kindle Fire supported movie and video formats are. We can find the list of formats from its office site as following:
Audio: AAC, MP3, MIDI, OGG, WAV,
Video: MP4, VP8

Step 1. Import DVD for playback on Amazon Kindle Fire

Put your DVD disc into the DVD ROM and then Load the DVD movies to program by clicking the "Add DVD" button.

Step 2. Set subtitles and audio language in order to play DVD movies on Kindle Fire

Select subtitles and audio track (English, French, German, Spanish…) for each chapter from the drop-down list of "Audio Stream" and "Subtitle Stream" box.

Step 3. Choose Kindle Fire playable video format .mp4

After you load DVD into the DVD to Kindle Fire Converter, press the "Output Format" drop-down list and choose the proper video format for Kindle Fire. Generally speaking, Kindle Fire can recognize videos of MP4, VP8.
