How to import/convert HD videos to iMovie on Mac

Step 1. Add HD video files to HD to iMovie Converter

Click the "Add Files" button in the top-left to add HD video you want to convert from your hard disk. You can also simply drag-and-drop the HD video files to the program.

Step 3. Start converting and then import the converted HD files to iMovie

Click "Start" button to start converting HD video to the format that iMovie supported. After converting, open iMovie, click on File > Import > Movies, and navigate to where the file is. Create a new event and import into iMovie.
