I you have a Mac then you can downlode a prgroam called Handbreak. You can get it off the Internet for free! This will give you the option of coping a movie, if you have the disk. You can make them able to play on an IPhone, IPad/IPad2, IPod Touch, Apple TV and many more. When it’s copied then you just drag and drop into ITunes an you’ll have it!
Can you make more than just two menus? like I want to make a DVD for a series I make on yotuube and I want to have an option to play all episodes, a menu that let’s you just pick out a single episode, and a bonus feature menu which includes bloopers and commentaries. I tried messing with this stuff using Windows DVD maker but that thing is just a cut of crap and only allows you to make two menus. also can you use record clips as the background of the menu instead of just pictures?

I would try cleaning the drive first, after all if its reandig disks it means the drive mechanism is fine, standard DVD player cleaner will suffice.If you need to replace and have a good spec pc go for a 22 speed drive, Lite-on, Samsung and LG are good reliable makes.
