i installed opera web bowsrer and it is even smother that the ipad 2 and plays flash. the camera is great and comes in handy , never know when you will need one. One thing that makes a diff is that i watch movies on the go , so tab plays divex, Mkv and lots of other video files in HD.
I believe Samsung is in the prceoss of rolling out the Gingerbread (2.3) update now. You may be able to find a ROM online and flash your device, but that’s going to be tricky and probably won’t work to well.

By the way i use the galaxy tab in my car as a GPS its awmeose and way more portable. But the main thing for me is that it has a real built in phone witch i use with a bluetooth, and it fits in my pocket. Whats the point of a tablet if its not portable ? First of all these firmwares are smanusg official.. to go back to your old firmware you need to download it and install ans above procedure.This is not rooting .. rooting is altogether different procedure. and it voids the warranty
